About

I was born in 1979 and raised in Rome where I studied at the french school Chateaubriand. At the age of 13 I moved to Switzerland to continue my studies in french in one of the world's most prestigious boarding schools called College Beau Soleil. In Switzerland I discovered the passion of photography, inspired by the exceptional alpine landscapes of where I was living and the amazing school trips we were taking but also for being introduced to the fashion photography legend Peter Lindberg, whose works enlightened my future perspectives.
Back in Rome at the age of 18 I entered the European Design Institute to specialize in photography. While studying I started working as a photographer for some important music magazines and newspapers like La Repubblica, Rock Sound, Rolling Stone Magazine and many others.
After achieving my photography diploma in 2001 I kept on working into music imagery trying to collide both my passions in photography and rock music.
While my passions were strongly ingrained in me, some sudden opportunities made me decide to follow a different path through the restaurant franchising industry which was at the time definitely more profitable.
I ended up building a restaurant franchise opening a total of 11 stores in Italy and one in NYC.
Then in 2017 I decided to sell my business to get back into photography, which I always kept as one of my major hobbies.
Building up restaurants and hanging around visual artists, as my father Marco Tirelli, routed my interests into the world of architecture and food photography which has now become my main profession as well as real estate and travel.
